Muscat: ELCO International Engineering Co LLC (ELCO) has manufactured high quality condensate stabiliser skid, a completely made in Oman product. Enerflex Middle East LLC has selected ELCO to manufacture pressure vessels and condensate stabilization skid for their ongoing Sadad North EDF – a phase 1 project awarded by PDO.
ELCO is specialising in engineering, manufacturing and commissioning of turnkey projects in Oman with over 45 years of experience. ELCO has a long history of co-operation with numerous public and private companies and has successfully executed many large-scale projects for companies including for Shell, Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), Oman Refineries and Petrochemical Company (ORPIC), Petrofac, Galfar, Strabag, Sohar Aluminium among others.
Abdullah Al Ajmi, manager of Human Resource and Administration, ELCO said, “We are proud to announce the completion of manufacturing condensate stabilization skid which has a ‘Made in Oman’ tag. The initial plan was to integrate the vessels and piping on the site. However, a construction execution strategy change was made after the award and Enerflex project management team approached us to build a complete skid package at ELCO’s workshop where pressure vessels were being fabricated. We were given the responsibility to complete integration of vessels into skid including structure, piping, isometrics, complete with integration of skid including Instrumentation and Electrical.”
Enerflex Middle East LLC oversaw the design and mechanical fabrication as a process design equipment packager.
The size of the skid is 8m width x 14 m long x 11 m height and weight of single piece skid is 130 tons. The skid was transported in single section and directly placed on the foundation, basically a plug and play unit for the customer. The skid is of a large size and very few skids has been manufactured in Oman of this size which could be transported in single piece by road.
