15-year-old girl drowns, two women rescued in Oman

Muscat: Two female citizens were rescued and a child died in one of the valleys in South Al Batinah Governorate.

A statement issued online by the Public Authority for Civil Defense and Ambulance (PACDA) said: ”The civil defense and ambulance teams in the Governorate of South Al Batinah responded to the report of the drowning of three female citizens in Wadi Bani Hani in the Wilayat of Rustaq, where two citizens were rescued and a 15-year-old girl died.”

“The authority calls on citizens and residents not to swim in the streams of valleys and water gatherings, and stressed on the need to monitor children in order to preserve the safety of all,” the statement added.
