Hotline 1100 allocated to protect women from domestic violence

Muscat: The Ministry of Social Development has allocated hotline 1100 to protect women from domestic violence.

A statement issued online by the Ministry of Social Development said, "We are pleased to inform our honourable observers that the Protection Line 1100 is working to receive your reports. The Ministry is currently working on improving its service to satisfy all its beneficiaries. Thank you for your constant contact."

This interaction from the ministry comes after social activists launched an interactive hashtag calling for the allocation of a hotline to protect women from domestic violence.
