US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo arrives in Oman

Muscat: U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has arrived in Oman on Thursday.

In a statement issued on his official Twitter account, Pompeo said he will be meeting His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.

“Arrived in Oman and will meet with Omani Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. I look forward to discussing efforts to build unity among the Gulf Cooperation Council and build on the momentum to advance regional peace and prosperity,” he said.

Before arriving in Oman, Pompeo visited Jerusalem, Sudan, Bahrain, and the UAE.
