Ministry of Foreign Affairs issues statement on ceasefire in Libya

Muscat: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Oman has issued a statement on ceasefire in Libya. 

A statement issued online by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, "The Sultanate welcomes the declarations issued by the President of the Libyan Presidency Council and the Speaker of Parliament to ceasefire and military operations. The Sultanate hopes that this step will lead to a comprehensive national dialogue that fulfills the aspirations of the Libyan people."

"The Sultanate calls on all to seize this opportunity to work seriously to reach a comprehensive and lasting peaceful solution to the Libyan issue," the statement added.
