Call for blood donation issued in Muscat

Muscat: The Central Blood Bank in Baushar needs between 100 to 120 donors daily to donate blood, the Department of Blood Banks Services (DBBS), said.

A statement issued online by the DBBS said: "The Central Blood Bank in Baushar needs 100-120 donors daily to meet the needs of health institutions for cases that need blood transfusion."

"Cases include those injured in accidents,  surgeries and cases of bone marrow failure. Also those with hereditary blood diseases, some cancer patients and some births need blood transfusion," the statement added.
