Muscat: The police have arrested three expats, including two women, for fraud and practicing sorcery. According to the Royal Oman Police (ROP), the arrested individuals entered the Sultanate on tourist visas.
ROP said, "The police headquarters in the Al Batinah South Governorate arrested three people, including a man and two women of Arab and European nationalities, for fraud and sorcery. They claimed to free people from the clutches of ghosts and treat diseases."
"The citizen (the house owner) was also arrested," ROP added.
The Royal Oman Police has warned against dealing with scammers and sorcerers, and calls for immediate reporting of such crimes at the nearest police station.
