National Gas Company, Oman’s largest LPG bottling & marketing company, is running concerted initiatives whereby the Company intends to provide simple practical advice on eliminating or reducing the risks associated with unsafe gas cylinders and handling inefficiencies.
Aiming to ensure safety of the cylinder handlers and users, National Gas is reaching out to its customers through videos, social media posts, print and digital media etc, to explain all aspects of LPG safety.
National Gas Company has a wonderful record in promoting occupational health, safety, and environment at the workplaces, transporting and handling LPG products and services. Reaffirming the Company’s commitment to safety, Mr. Nalin Chandna, Chief Executive Officer of the Company said, “All our gas cylinders are bottled according to approved standards & cylinder specifications applicable in the Sultanate. He stated that lack of information and awareness on safety rules in consumers can cause LPG accidents and injuries. In view of this, the Company has embarked on this awareness drive to educate the gas cylinder consumers on safety rules to be followed on receiving and using the cylinders. Compromising on safety can lead to extreme consequences which could sometimes be fatal or otherwise life-threatening. Our state of the art bottling facilities are committed to safety of our employees and customers by ensuring the cylinders that go out to the market are fit and safe for use.” He called upon the consumers to watch out for these campaigns in the interest of their safety and the safety of their loved ones.
