Earthquake reported in Iran

Muscat: An earthquake has been reported in Southern Iran on Tuesday, according to the Earthquake Monitoring Centre (EMC), at the Sultan Qaboos University.

A statement issued online by the EMC said: “An earthquake in southern Iran with magnitude of 4.8, at 5:10 am MCT and at a depth of 27 km. The earthquake was recorded 216 km away from Diba.”
