Muscat: The Sultanate's Gross Domestic Product was more than OMR 6 billion at the end of the first quarter of 2020.
A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA), said: "The gross domestic product of the Sultanate at current prices, recorded at the end of the first quarter of 2020, shows a decline of 3.9 per cent and is at OMR 6,754,800,000 compared to the same period in 2019."
"Preliminary statistics issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information(NCSI), showed that oil activities witnessed an increase of 0.7 per cent, reaching OMR 2,428,200,000."
The total non-oil activities at the end of the first quarter of 2020 were recorded at about OMR 4,634,400,000 which is a decrease of 6.2 per cent from the end of the first quarter of 2019," the statement added.
