Muscat: A semi-shadow eclipse of the moon will occur on Sunday, 5th July, which will be visible from Europe, Africa, North and South America and as well as from some oceans.
The Astronomical Affairs Department of MERA said in a statement, "A semi-shadow eclipse of the moon will occur, on Sunday, (not visible from the Sultanate), which will be visible from southern and western Europe, most of Africa, southern and western North America, most of South America, the Pacific, the Atlantic Ocean, the Indian Ocean, and the Antarctic continent."
"The lunar eclipse of the moon occurs when the moon enters the region of the earth's semi-shadow, where the moon's illumination decreases slightly, and the moon's disk remains fully lit, and it is often difficult to notice any changes with the naked eye," the statement added.
