Persons arrested in Oman for hunting wild birds

Muscat: The Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs (MECA), arrested a group of people for hunting wild birds in Al Dhahirah Governorate.

A statement issued online by the ministry said, "Wildlife monitoring staff at the General Department of Environment and Climate Affairs in Al Dhahirah Governorate, in cooperation with Royal Oman Police (ROP), were able to arrest a group of people for violation of wildlife rules. They were caught in the act of hunting a group of wild birds in the wilayat of Ibri."

"The group will face legal action," the statement added.
