Oman's share index ends unchanged

Muscat: The MSM30 index closed at 3,524.55 points, unchanged 0.00 per cent from previous close. The Sharia Index ended up by 0.21 per cent at 515.62 points. Oman & Emirates Investment, up 4.65 per cent was the top gainer while Galfar Engineering, down 10.00 per cent was the top loser. Galfar Engineering was the most active in terms of number of shares traded while Al Anwar Ceramic Perpetual Bonds was the most active in terms of turnover.
A total number of 386 trades were executed during the day's trading session, generating turnover of OMR835,000, with more than 9.06 million shares changing hands. Out of 45 traded stocks, 10 advanced, 7 declined and 28 remained unchanged. At the session close, GCC & Arab investors were net buyers for OMR35,000 while foreign investors were net sellers for OMR27,000 followed by local investors for OMR8,000 worth of shares.
Financial Index closed up by 0.19 at 5,595.06 points, unchanged from previous close. Oman & Emirates Investment, Vision Insurance, Al Madina Investment, Oman Qatar Insurance and Oman United were up by 4.65 per cent, 4.40 per cent, 4.17 per cent, 3.75 per cent and 2.87 per cent respectively. United Finance and Al Anwar Holding were down by 10.0 per cent and 1.3 per cent respectively.
Industrial Index closed at 4,003.47 points, down 0.48 per cent. Galfar Engineering was down by 10.0 per cent.
Services index was down 0.36 per cent before closing at 1,573.74 points. Oman Oil and Ooredoo were up by 2.0 per cent and 0.99 per cent respectively. Renaissance Service, Al Suwadi Power, Phoenix Power and OIFC were down by 2.91 per cent, 1.85 per cent, 1.82 per cent and 1.22 per cent respectively.
