Oman commends Saudi Arabia's decision to limit Haj pilgrims

Muscat: The Sultanate commends the statement issued by the competent authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, regarding the establishment of a pilgrimage this year 1441 AH and limiting numbers from within the Kingdom.

The Ministry of Endowment and Religious Affairs (MERA) said in its statement, "This statement from Saudi Arabia preserves the purposes of legality, and takes into account the safety of pilgrims from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Ministry confirmed that there will be no obligations for those enrolled in the Haj electronic system for the Hajj season for the year 1441 AH, including the inability to arrange their travel to perform Haj rituals for this season, indicating that the mechanisms for recording the next season will be announced later.
