Muscat: Muscat Governorate reports 445 new cases of coronavirus on Tuesday, followed by the North Al Batinah governorate with 99 new cases, according to the Ministry of Health application Tarassud.
The Sultanate registered 745 new cases of coronavirus taking the total number of cases to 25,269 with 11,089 having recovered from the novel coronavirus.
The total number of deaths reached 114, including 87 deaths in Muscat Governorate with 12 deaths in South Al Batinah Governorate. North Al Batinah Governorate reported 6 deaths and 3 deaths in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate. Al Dakhliya Governorate has recorded three deaths and one death each in Governorate of Dhofar, Al Dhahirah and North Al Sharqiyah.
More than 72 per cent of Covid19 cases in Oman have been recorded in Muscat Governorate with a total number of 18,365 cases, 5,866 of them registered in Muttrah and 6,041 cases in wilayat of Seeb, 4,944 cases in Baushar and 923 in Al Amerat. The wilayat of Muscat has 429 cases and Quriyat has recorded 162 cases. Muscat governorate record 1,319 recoveries among the cases.
South Al Batinah Governorate ranked second on the number of infection with 1,733. Wilayat Barka has 808 while Rustaq has 260 cases. Musannah has 366 and Al Awabi has 117 cases. Wilayat Nakhal has 96 while Wadi Al Malawi has 86 cases. South Al Batinah Governorate reported 780 recoveries.
North Al Batinah Governorate ranked third on the number of infection with 99 new cases among a total of 1,680 cases have been registered and 991 cases recovered.
Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, which has a total of 944 cases, registered 33 new cases today. 217 cases are in the Wilayat of Samail, 214 in Nizwa, 159 in Bidbid, 137 in Izki, 81 in Bahla, 67 in Adam, 27 in Manah and 42 cases in the Wilayat of Al Hamra.
Al Wusta Governorate has recorded 919 cases, including 875 in the Wilayat of Duqm and 44 in the Wilayat of Haima. 57 recoveries have been registered in Al Wusta Governorate.
South Al Sharqiyah Governorate registered 10 new cases, 3 of which are from the Wilayat of Jalan Bani Buali, 6 new cases from Sur and Al Kamil Wal Wafi has reported one new case. South Al Sharqiyah recorded 299 recoveries
North Al Sharqiyah Governorate registered 26 new cases to reach a total of 376 cases. 201 cases are in Wilayat of Al Mudhaibi, 36 in Bidiyah, 53 in Dima Wattayeen, 8 in Wadi Bani Khalid, 57 Ibra and 21 cases in the Wilayat of Al Qabil. North Al Sharqiyah Governorate recorded 213 recoveries.
The number of cases in Buraimi Governorate has reached 266 out of which 258 are in the wilayat of Buraimi and 8 cases in Mahdah. Buraimi Governorate has reported today 23 recoveries.
In Dhofar Governorate, which has a total of 208 cases, 195 are from Wilayat of Salalah, 9 cases from Shaleem and Alhalaniyat and a single case in Wilayat of Mirbat. Al Mazyona has recorded 3 cases. The total number of recoveries in Dhofar Governorate has reached 40.
Al Dhahirah Governorate has registered one new case which is in wilayat of Ibri. Al Dhahirah Governorate has been registered today four new recoveries, this brings the total to 147. Musandam Governorate has so far recorded the lowest cases of infection, with two cases of infection and 9 recoveries.
