Muscat: Indian School Ghubra alumnus Natasha Assadi has been voted one of the 50 most desirable women in India.
Assadi was also a Miss India Universe 2015 runner up.
Assadi ranked 29th in the voting for India’s most desirable women of 2015, organised by an English Daily in India. It was reported that some 21.35 lakh votes were cast in her favour.
“I feel very proud and happy to have gained so much love from India in such a short period of time,” Assadi told Times of Oman.
“I give full credit to my parents for always supporting and believing in me. They are my angels,” she added.
“My family has been my backbone and has always asked me to be a good human being throughout. This attitude got me here and I’m thankful to them,” she added.
Assadi was a student at the Indian School Al Ghubra from 2001 to 2008 and graduated from the Muscat International School.
As a teenager, she modelled for Toyota, Bank Muscat and HSBC in Oman.
“Oman is my second home. I spent my childhood here,” Assadi noted.
“This is just the beginning. I will make my family, India and my second home, Oman, very proud,” she added. She is also passionate about kick-boxing and horseback riding.
Speaking about her future, she said, “My plan for the future is to keep growing, keep improvising, trying out different areas, challenging myself, being happy at all times and, most importantly, to always remain grounded.”
Assadi also wants to help children who are physically challenged and underprivileged.
Her advice to other aspirants is to be true to themselves.
“Being myself in interactions and presentation helped me to achieve success. I only concentrated on bettering myself,” she says. “For that the process is simple, you have to believe, have faith, work hard and be yourself at all times, and then you will see magic happen.”
Assadi also hints that she will be seen in movies soon, and will continue her modelling career.
