Muscat: On Monday, out of the total of 1,043 new COVID-19 cases reported in the Sultanate, 515 were registered in Muscat Governorate alone according to the Ministry of Health's Tarassud app. A total of 24,524 cases are now registered in Oman with 9, 533 having recovered from the novel coronavirus.
Four new deaths have been registered today in Oman, taking the total number of deaths to 108, so far. 85 of these deaths were from Muscat Governorate while South Al Batinah recorded 9 deaths. North Al Batinah has seen 6 deaths so far while 3 patients have died in South Al Sharqiyah. There have been two deaths in Al Dakhiliyah while Dhofar, Al Dhahirah, and North Al Sharqiyah have recorded one death each.
Within the Muscat Governorate, there are 233 new cases in the wilayat of Seeb, 138 in Baushar, 79 in Muttrah, and 21 in Al Amerat. The Wilayat of Muscat has 30 new cases while Quriyat has 14. With 850 new recoveries, the total number of patients who have successfully battled COVID-19 has reached 6,532 in the governorate.
Elsewhere in the Sultanate, North Al Batinah registered 79 new cases on Monday and now has a total of 1,581 cases. 391 of these are in the wilayat of Suwaiq while 519 are in Sohar. Shinas has recorded 167 cases while Saham reports 243 cases. Liwa has 155 cases while Al Khaburah has 106.
In South Al Batinah, the total cases have reached 1,664 with 156 new cases recorded on Monday. Wilayat Barka has 773 while Rustaq has 243 cases. Musannah has 353 and Al Awabi has 116 cases. Wilayat Nakhal has 95 while Wadi Al Malawi has 85 cases.
South Al Sharqiyah Governorate registered 40 new cases, 21 of which are from the Wilayat of Jalan Bani Buali, 7 new cases from Sur, 2 new cases in Jalan Bani Buhasaan and Al Kamil Wal Wafi has been reported 10 new cases. South Al Sharqiyah recorded 296 recoveries.
North Al Sharqiyah Governorate registered 26 new cases to reach a total of 350 cases. 188 cases are in Wilayat of Al Mudhaibi, 35 in Bidiyah, 48 in Dima Wattayeen, 6 in Wadi Bani Khalid, 53 Ibra and 20 cases in the Wilayat of Al Qabil.
Al Dakhiliyah governorate, which has a total of 911 cases, registered 49 new cases today. 209 cases are in the Wilayat of Samail, 203 in Nizwa, 157 in Bidbid, 134 in Izki, 79 in Bahla, 67 in Adam, 23 in Manah and 39 cases in the Wilayat of Al Hamra.
The number of cases in Buraimi Governorate has reached 252 out of which 244 are in the wilayat of Buraimi and 8 cases in Mahdah. Buraimi Governorate has reported today a single recovery.
In Dhofar Governorate, which has a total of 171 cases, 158 are from Wilayat of Salalah, 9 cases from Shaleem and Alhalaniyat, and a single case in Wilayat of Mirbat. Al Mazyona has recorded 3 cases. The total number of recoveries in Dhofar Governorate has reached 35.
Al Dhahirah Governorate has registered 10 new cases of which one new case is in Dhank and Four new cases are in the wilayat of Yunqul. Wilayat of Ibri has reported five new cases. Al Dhahirah Governorate has been registered today four new recoveries, this brings the total to 143
Al Wusta Governorate has recorded 908 cases, including 846 in the Wilayat of Duqm and 44 in the Wilayat of Haima.48 recoveries have been registered in Al Wusta Governorate. Musandam Governorate has so far recorded the lowest cases of infection, with two cases of infection and 9 recoveries.
