Muscat records highest COVID-19 cases on Tuesday

Muscat: Muscat Governorate recorded the highest numbers of new COVID-19 cases today according to the Ministry of Health App Tarassud.

The Sultanate registered 712 new cases of coronavirus taking the total number of cases to 18,198 with 4152 recovery cases.

The total number of deaths reached 83, including 67 deaths in Muscat governorate with 6 deaths in South Al Batinah Governorate. South Al Batinah Governorate reported 4 deaths and 3 deaths in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate. Single death in each Governorate of Al Dakhiliyah, Dhofar and Al Dhahirah.

The Muscat governorate has registered 421 new cases, including 174 new cases in Seeb and 78 new cases in the wilayat of Baushar, the wilayat of Muttrah registered 74 new cases and 50 new cases were registered in wilayat of Al Amerat. Wilayat of Muscat has 37 new cases and wilayat of Quriyat has 8 new cases. The Muscat governorate recorded today 24 new recovery cases this brings the total to 2105 recoveries.

North Al Batinah governorate registered 47 new cases taking the total to 1,202 cases, 296 of them have been registered in wilayat of Suwaiq, 381 cases in wilayat of Sohar, and 144 in Shinas. Saham reported 175 cases, wilayat of Liwa has 128 cases and 78 cases were registered in wilayat of Al Khaburah. North Al Batinah recorded 593 recoveries.

South Al Batinah governorate, which has 1,167 cases, registered 64 new cases, 515 cases in wilayat of Barka, 175 cases in wilayat of Rustaq, 267 in wilayat of Al Musannah, 88 in wilayat of Al Awabi, 67 in wilayat of Nakhal and 55 cases in wilayat of Wadi Al Malawi have been registered so far. The South Al Batinah governorate recorded 476 recoveries, 233 of them in wilayat of Barka, 81 in wilayat of Al Musannah and Nakhal reported 40 recoveries. Rustaq has 66 recovery cases and 12 recovery cases in Wadi Al Maawil. AL Awabi recorded 44 recovery cases.

South Al Sharqiyah governorate registered 14 new cases, 4 of them have been registered in wilayat of Jalan Bani Buali, 4 new cases in Sur, 3 new cases in Jalan Bani Buhasaan and 4 new cases in wilayat of Al Kamil Wal Wafi. South Al Sharqiyah governorate reported 244 recoveries.

North Al Sharqiyah governorate registered 8 new cases with a total of 239 cases, 128 in wilayat of Al Mudhaibi, 27 cases in wilayat of Bidiyah, 28 in wilayat of Dima Wattayeen, 5 in Wadi Bani Khalid, 41 in wilayat of Ibra, and 10 cases in wilayat of Al Qabil have been registered. North Al Sharqiyah governorate reported 64 recoveries.

Al Dakhiliyah governorate, which has a total of 692 cases, has registered 31 new cases, with 174 cases in wilayat of Samail, 150 in wilayat of Nizwa, 110 in wilayat of Bidbid, 104 in wilayat of Izki, 67 in wilayat of Bahla, 63 in wilayat of Adam, 10 in wilayat of Manah, and 14 cases in wilayat of Al Hamra . Al Dakhiliyah governorate reported 447 recoveries.

The number of cases in Buraimi governorate reached 185 cases, 184 in wilayat of Buraimi, and one case in wilayat of Mahdah. Buraimi Governorate recorded 80 recoveries.

164 cases have been registered in Al Dhahirah governorate including 136 cases in Ibri, 9 cases in Yunqul and 19 cases in wilayat of Dhank. Ad Dhahirah Governorate reported 112 recoveries. 64 confirmed infections in Dhofar governorate and 392 cases in Al Wusta Governorate. Musandam governorate recorded the lowest cases of infection, with only 2 cases and 7 recoveries.
