Muscat: More than 8,000 complaints were received by Muscat Municipality between March and May.
Muscat Municipality’s contact centre dealt with 8,147 complaints over the past three months. March registered the highest number of complaints (3,513), while May received only 2,326. All the reports were received either through the call centre, through social media platforms, and the Baladiyeti app.
The toll-free number was the main medium used for complaints (6,139), while Twitter registered about 1,717 and the Baladiyeti app had 291. However, the total number of calls received by the contact centre was about 41,798. The highest number of these calls were recorded in March, with 15,649 incoming calls, of which 13,129 were answered.
Al Seeb Directorate received the highest number of complaint reports in March (933) and April (577). The Directorate General of Projects received the highest number of complaint reports in May, with 607 complaints.
