MSM index ends marginally lower

Muscat: Muscat Securities Market (MSM) general index (30) lost 0.84 points, comprising a decline by 0.024 per cent to close at 3,537.48 points, compared to the last session, which stood at 3,538.32 points.
The trading value stood at OMR1,614,306, comprising a rise of 3.55 per cent, compared to the last session, which stood at OMR1,558,889.
The report released by MSM pointed out that the market value fell by 0.001 per cent to reach about OMR18.38 billion.
The report added that the value of shares bought by non-Omani investors reached OMR183,000, comprising 11.35 per cent. The value of shares sold by non-Omani investors reached OMR840,000, comprising 52.01 per cent. The net non-Omani investment declined by 40.67 per cent to OMR656,000.
