Tropical depression: Direct impact over Dhofar ends

Muscat: The Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA), has issued a statement indicating the end of the direct impact of the tropical depression over Dhofar governorate.

A statement issued online by PACA said: “Latest weather charts analysis indicates that direct effects of the tropical system are over.”

The statement pointed out that: "However, analysis and satellite images indicate the continuation of indirect effects of the tropical system which can lead to isolated rain and occasional thundershowers today and tomorrow, 1st and 2nd June 2020, over the western segment and the mountainous areas of Dhofar governorate.”

“The sea state along coasts of Dhofar will continue to be rough with wave heights ranging from 3 to 4 metres.”
