Person trapped in vehicle rescued in Oman

Muscat: Rescue teams were able to help a citizen who was stuck in his vehicle in a valley, and the authorities warned that heavy rains in Dhofar Governorate will continue for the fourth consecutive day as a result of being affected by a tropical condition.

The Public Authority of Civil Defense and Ambulance (PACDA) said in a statement: "Rescue teams of PACDA Administration in Dhofar Governorate managed to save a citizen who was trapped in his vehicle in the course of wadi in wilayat of Taqah."

The National Committee for Emergency Management said in a warning that at this time some wilayats in Dhofar Governorate are experiencing heavy rains with continued flow of wadis and reefs. "We hope everyone takes care and is careful and does not go out to avoid the occurrence of risks."
