COVID-19: Over 76 per cent of Saturday's cases are in Muscat governorate

Muscat: More than 76 per cent of the 459 new cases announced on Saturday are from Muscat governorate.

In the last 24 hours, 603 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the Sultanate which brings the total number to 10,243 with 42 deaths and recovery of 24 per cent of patients.

According to the Tarassud app by the Ministry of Health, the distribution of 603 cases recorded today by governorates is as follows:

Muscat recorded 459 new cases, North Al Batinah has 57, South Al Batinah registered 27, Al Dakhiliyah 26, South Al Sharqiyah 3, Al Dhahirah 7, Al Buraimi 6, North Al Sharqiyah 8 and Al Wusta 10.

Wilayats that recorded the most number of new COVID-19 cases today are Seeb with 224, followed by Bosher with 137, Muttrah 59, Al Amerat 24, Sohar 16, Suwaiq 15, Musannah 14, 11 each in Muscat, Sham and Liwa and 10 cases each in Rustaq, Smail and Duqm.
