Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has elected its first female ambassador, Princess Rima bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as the country's ambassador to the United States.
In a royal decree issued on Saturday, February 23, 2019, the Saudi News Agency said, "The third order appointed Princess Rima bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the United States of America with the rank of Minister."
