Muscat: Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Chairman of the Civil Service Council and Sheikh Abdullah bin Nassir Al Bakri, Minister of Manpower on Wednesday issued decisions on Eid Al Fitr holiday 1441 AH for the State Administrative Apparatus, reading as follows: “On the occasion of the Blessed Eid Al Fitr 1441 AH, and as per the Royal orders of His Majesty the Sultan, it was decided that Eid Al Fitr holiday for employees of the departments of the State Administrative Apparatus and other legal entities including the private sector will begin from Saturday, 29 Ramadan 1441 AH, corresponding to 23 May 2020. The holiday ends as follows:
In case the first day of the Eid falls on Sunday, 24 May 2020, the holiday will end on Tuesday, 3 Shawal 1441 AH, corresponding to 26 May 2020. Therefore, work shall be resumed on Wednesday, 27 May 2020.
In case the first day of the Eid falls on Monday, 25 May 2020, the holiday will end on Thursday, 4 Shawal 1441 AH, corresponding to 28 May 2020. Therefore, work shall be resumed on Sunday, 31 May 2020.
The Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court extended his congratulations to His Majesty the Sultan, praying to the Almighty Allah to protect His Majesty, grant him good health, happiness, and a long life and for the return of this and similar occasions on His Majesty for many years to come and the Omani people, and our dear country with further progress and welfare under His Majesty’s wise leadership, and all Muslims with blessings and prosperity.
The decision allowed employers and employees to agree on work arrangements during the holiday if the necessity arises.
All employees in the private sector extended their congratulations to His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik on this blessed occasion, praying to the Almighty Allah to protect His Majesty, grant him good health, happiness and a long life and for the return of this and similar occasions on His Majesty, the Omani people and all Muslims with blessings and welfare.
