Muscat: Most COVID-19 cases in the Sultanate are male patients and over 80 per cent of patients range in age from 15 to 50 years.
According to the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, 66 per cent of patients are expats. 82 per cent of them are men.
The Undersecretary said in an interview with Oman TV: "The curve is still ascending and we have not reached the peak yet, 111 COVID-19 cases are in the hospital and 33 of them are in ICU and 30 cases are on ventilator."
He added: "The pandemic situation is still normal and that is evidence of society's commitment to social distancing."
"Till now 72,000 Coronavirus tests have been done and 83 per cent of people who got infected are in the age between 15 to 50," the MoH Undersecretary said.
