Dar Al Atta'a helps SQUH patients get medicines at home

Muscat: In an effort to help curb the spread of COVID-19 pandemic, Dar Al Atta'a, in cooperation with Sultan Qaboos University Hospital (SQUH), has launched the Al Sa'ei (Postman) Campaign.
The Campaign, an initiative to deliver medicines prescribed by clinics of Sultan Qaboos University Hospital (SQUH) to the homes of patients under treatment, comes in response to the call of national duty and social responsibility.
Under the initiative, the patient contacts the designated clinic at SQUH.
The clinic sends the prescription to the pharmacy which through a no-reply message conveys to the patient the Muscat Post call-centre's phone number.
Meanwhile, Muscat Post receives the request of the patient and records his/her details. The next day, it receives the prescribed medicines from the pharmacy and immediately delivers it to the patient's home.
The initiative is designed to help curb the spread of COVID 19 pandemic among the patients as well as health sector personnel.

Dr. Shamsa bint Hamad Al Harthi, Director General at Dar Al Atta'a Association said that Al Sa'ei initiative aimed to further cement the cooperation among all concerned sectors, the local community and the charitable associations.
The initiative was warmly received by the executive management of Sultan Qaboos University Hospital (SQUH) and the management of SQUH pharmacy, she added.
The voluntary term of the initiative shall be for one month from the date of launch and could be extended depending on the developments of the situation, where such service of delivery of parcels would be offered free of charge on a daily basis to the patients.
