Electronic auctions aid livestock owners to continue business

Muscat: Now local and imported livestock owners can market and sell their livestock easily through electronic auctions on "Tharwa" platform.

“Tharwa” platform, an investment of Oman Technology Fund, announced the organisation of an Electronic Livestock Auction “Habta” to sell livestock electronically.

Samira Hilal Al Esry, Co-Founder of Tharwa platform said: “Tharwa Habta is an electronic livestock market for auctioning off local livestock. The idea of auctioning the livestock comes from the original Omani traditions that are still practised by citizens to get ready for the Eid.
