Residential house raided in North Al Batinah: Sohar Municipality

Muscat: A residential house in North Al Batinah Governorate was raided for violating the decisions issued by the Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19.

Sohar Municipality said in a statement, "In coordination with public prosecution and Royal Oman Police (ROP), Sohar Municipality has raided an apartment used by expatriate workers to practice sewing profession. The raid comes in light of the closure of women's tailor shops as precautionary measures during the coronavirus outbreak."

"Legal actions have been taken against the violators," the statement added.
