Coronavirus: Maximum cases recorded on Wednesday from Muscat Governorate

Muscat: More than 80 per cent of the COVID-19 cases recorded on Wednesday are from the Governorate of Muscat, according to the Tarassud application of the Ministry of Health.

The number of cases in the Sultanate reached more than 4,000 with 298 new cases being registered today, the highest rate of infections within 24 hours recorded in the Sultanate so far.

The total cases of COVID-19 in the Governorate of Muscat reached 2971 cases, including 245 new cases.

The rest of the cases were distributed as follows: 24 new cases in the South Al Batinah Governorate, 15 cases in the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, 5 cases in the South Al Sharqiyah Governorate and one infection in Al Buraimi Governorate.
