Muscat: Sterilizers which claim to protect users from certain diseases were confiscated by PACP.
The Public Authority for Consumer Protection (PACP) said in a statement: "PACP has prohibited the circulation of sterilizers that contain misleading data to the consumer regarding the elements of the sterilizer and its ability to protect against diseases or epidemics."
"The provider must commit to fulfilling health and safety standards and obtain relevant approvals from the competent authorities," PACP noted.
