Eight flights to India announced

Muscat: The second phase of the Vande Bharat repatriation flights begin on May 16, confirmed an official from the Indian Embassy in Muscat.
As part of the evacuation plan, eight flights will be operated from Oman to various Indian destinations to India.
As per the plan, four flights will operate to Kerala, one flight each to Bihar, Telangana, Delhi and Karnataka.
According to the plans, seven flights will operate from Muscat and one from Salalah.
Meanwhile the second repatriation flight from Oman to India took-off at 4:15pm on Tuesday with more than 180 passengers.
“According to the directives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the embassy on Tuesday, in coordination with the Indian authorities, facilitated the return of 22 citizens from Chennai.”
“The embassy is working to complete the formalities to bring the rest of the citizens from Hyderabad, Delhi and Mumbai before the end of this month,” Omani embassy said.
