Temperature set to rise in Oman

Muscat: Temperatures in some parts of the Sultanate could cross 45 degrees Celsius, Oman Meteorology has announced.

Tuesday's weather forecast indicates that the highest temperature recorded will be in the wilayat of Halima in Al Wusta governorate. The lowest is expected to be 21 degrees in Saiq.

Al Buraimi, Ibri and Nizwa will see a temperature of 44 degrees while Sohar and Muscat will see 42 degrees. Salalah, preparing to welcome the Khareef season, will have a temperature of 33 degrees on Tuesday.

The general weather forecast for most of the Sultanate predicts clear skies with dust winds over the desert and open areas.
