First repatriation flight from Muscat took off after a hour's delay

Muscat: The first repatriation flight from Oman - IX 442 to Kochi with 177 passengers and 4 infants took off from Muscat Airport after an hour 's delay.

The flight is expected to land at Kochi around 9.30 pm.

77 of those on board were travelling due to a medical emergency, the pregnant and elderly amounted to another 48, stranded tourists in Oman came to a further 30, while 22 workers in Oman were also flying home.

Four infants were also travelling to India with their families.
