Covid-19: Expat dies due to coronavirus

Muscat: Members of the Supreme Committee are meeting the press at the Ministry of Health headquarters.

Find the details below:

1- Minister of Health: The virus is still spreading widely, and we must strictly adhere to the measures of social distancing and not endanger the lives of others.

2- Minister of Health: Most of the cases recorded on Wednesday were due to labour gatherings.

3- Minister of Health: 68 cases in hospital, 22, cases in ICU.

4- Minister of Health: 106 cases of health workers Infected; 80% of infection due to community contact.

5- Minister of Education: We decided to calculate the result of the second semester for general education diploma students and their equivalent using the statistical treatment method which is applies internationally.

6- Minister of Health: The number of critical cases and deaths are increasing. We invite everyone to commit to precaution procedure.

7- Dr. Amal Al-Ma’ani: Stem cell therapy is still under research and used to treat certain conditions.

8- Minister of Education: General diploma exam results will be announced in mid-June.

9 - Minister of Health: An expat resident died due to cotonavirus. This is the 14th case in the country.

10- Minister of Health: 50,000 coronavirus test conducted in Oman.

11- Minister of Health: A person spread infection to 13 member of his family after violating the instructions and joined a gathering outside the home.

12- Dr. Saif Al Maamari: We have no plans to deduct the allowance of teaching staff even if the study is suspended.

13- Minister of Health: Cost of 50,000 coronavirus test touched OMR 2 million.

14- Minister of Education: We allowed international schools because of their different school system. International schools are required to work remotely and not to attend the school.
