Coordinate with local committees before new campaigns: Government

Muscat: The Relief and Shelter Sector, part of the Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19, has called for coordinating with Social Development Committees of Wilayat before starting a new campaign or initiative during the pandemic.

The group said in a statement, "We appreciate all the civil initiatives from associations, volunteer teams, individuals and private institutions that complement the efforts of government institutions in curbing the spread of COVID-19."

"We call upon all to coordinate with the Social Development Committees in the Wilayats before starting any campaign or initiative to support the groups affected by the pandemic in order to better organise these efforts and ensure the achievement of the desired goals," the statement added.
