Committee reviews issues related to manpower in private sector

Muscat: The committee formed to consider the issue of manpower at the private sector held its third meeting under the chairmanship of Hamad bin Khamis Al Ameri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Manpower for Labour Affairs in the presence of the members of the committee.
The committee discussed, among other issues, the decisions of 17 companies interested in termination of the services of national manpower of which 13 companies have agreed not to terminate the services after discussion with them.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the committee of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) and the General Federation of Oman Trade Unions directed the employers not to tend to comply with the decisions of the Supreme Committee.
