Surprise inspection visits at shops in Oman

Muscat: Surprise inspection visits during the evening period at 6 shops selling meat, poultry and fish resulted in two violations being issued and an establishment being fined according to Ministerial Decision No. 29/2016. Additionally, one establishment was closed in wilayat of Al Masnaah.

A statement issued online by Regional Municipalities and Water Resources said: "Municipality of Al Masnaah had paid surprise visits during the evening period at 6 shops selling meat, poultry and fish, where two violations were issued and an establishment was fined according to Ministerial Decision No. 29/2016, some meat unfit for human consumption was destroyed and the establishment was closed. "
