Some veterinary medicines banned in Oman

Muscat: The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries has banned the import, use and circulation of some veterinary medicines.

Dr. Hamad bin Saeed Al-Awfi, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, said in a decision issued on Thursday, April 9, "Ban on import, use and circulation of veterinary medicines like Colistin and Diclofenac."

"Anti-infection agents/antibiotics growth promotors: Bacitracin, Carbodox, Olaquindox, Tylosin, Virginiamycin, Avilamycin, Flavophospholipol and Diethanolamine are included in the ban."
