Muscat: The Government Communications Centre (GCC) on Friday refutes the news being circulated in social media about imposing fees for treating COVID-19 patients in the Sultanate.
"We assure you that the examination and treatment of the infected cases (citizens or residents) and the costs of institutional isolation are being done free of cost." the statement added.
Meanwhile, the GCC also denied reports being circulated on social media about the detection of two residents infected with Coronavirus at Barka Health Center and how they tried to flee after they were told about their infection.
"We encourage everyone to take information from its official sources because spreading such rumours expose you to legal liability," said the GCC.
