Muscat: The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, has offered condolences over the deaths of Pakistani nationals living and working abroad who have fallen victim to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Khan took to his official Twitter handle and said: "I am saddened by the news of the death of countless Pakistanis living and working abroad who have fallen victim to the COVID-19. Many died while serving in the frontline of the global war against COVID-19. My condolences and prayers go to their families.

"My prayers also for early recovery of those still battling COVID-19. You are all in our prayers. We can never forget all of you far away from Pakistan who continue to do us proud and are our greatest asset, playing a critical role in Pakistan's development through remittances and charity work."
