Coronavirus: Four companies in Oman apply to manufacture health products

Muscat: Four companies have applied to manufacture health products, an official from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) announced.

The Director General of Industry at MoCI said: "The Ministry of Commerce and Industry received during this April, four new requests from the private sector to manufacture personal protective equipment, such as medical hand sterilizer, gloves and masks with international specifications approved by the World Health Organization."

"They are expected to start production soon, as some requests have reached the final stage of obtaining final approvals," he added.
