Oman crime: Apartment in North Ghubra burgled

Muscat: Cash and valuables worth OMR2,000 were stolen from an apartment in north Ghubra last Saturday, the tenant of the flat said.

“It happened on Saturday night between 9pm and 10:15 while we were away. When we returned, we found that the door lock had been tampered with. The culprits targeted money and ornaments. We informed the police. They came and initiated a probe,” the tenant told Times of Oman.

According to the tenant, a similar kind of burglary had happened in the same building two months ago.

“We were not informed about that. If the building management had told us about it, then we would have been alert,” the tenant, who is desperately waiting for a call from police regarding the case, added.

“We are expecting that the police will find the culprits and we shall get back our cash and ornaments soon,” the tenant hoped.
