Coronavirus: Recording a hoax, government clarifies

Muscat: The Ministry of Health (MOH) has clarified that an audio recording being circulated about a case of coronavirus infection in wilayat Al-Amirat is false.

A statement issued online by the Government Communication Center(GCC) said: "The circulated audio recording about a case of coronavirus infection in Wilayat Al Amirat as a result of the transfer of one of the infected cases from wilayat Muttrah to Wilayat Al Amirat is fake.”

"6 cases have been registered so far in wilayat Al Amirat,” the statement added.
