Coronavirus: Government denies escape of workers from Oman

Muscat: News of the escape of some expatriate workers from Muttrah is a rumour, the Government Communication Centre (GCC) said on Saturday.

A statement issued online by the GCC said: "There is no truth in a circulated video which says that expat workers escaped from Muttrah.”

“The video is old and from Sidab and documents the return of a number of fishermen from the sea,” the statement added.
