Place of worship in Oman: Jama’a Al Zulfa

This Ramadan is a great opportunity to go pray in beautiful houses of worship that you might not otherwise take the time to see. Whether for Taraweeh prayers or Dhuhr, pay a visit to one of Muscat’s architectural monuments of faith.

{Jama’a Al Zulfa}

Al Zulfa mosque, also known as The Royal Guards of Oman Mosque, is located right on Sultan Qaboos highway in Seeb, facing the palace of Bait Baraka. It has a very distinctive design that sets it apart from other mosques in the area. Opened in 1992, it features more than 20 green-coloured domes, gigantic darkened windows, and abundant trees. It has a star-like design on the entrance, and an interesting interior, especially behind the place where the Imam stands, which is glittering in gold and accented with blue and black Islamic patterns.
