Oman Airports to run two trials for Musandam flights

Muscat: Oman Airports has announced that it is testing check-in procedures at the Crew Terminal of Muscat International Airport for all passengers travelling on Oman Air flights to and from Khasab Provice, Musandam governorate.

In a statement, Oman Airports recommended that all passengers traveling to Khasab province in Musandam Governorate on pre-scheduled Oman Air flights or emerging flights be aware of changes in travel procedures before heading to the airport. "At this point, the company is testing possibilities of registering, handling and checking in two of these flights at the Crew Terminal adjacent to the cargo building at Muscat International Airport in order to allow for intensive sterilization and disinfection work across all airport terminals in the meantime. These disinfection measures aim at maintaining a hygienic environment across all airport premises and levels, all while ensuring continuous operational readiness when conditions warrant."

Once confirmed, the success of the two operational trials will be announced via Oman Airports official social media accounts. Upon arriving to Muscat International Airport, passengers can follow the road signage “Khasab Flights” to the Cargo Terminal and proceed to the building.

The airport will continue to receive unscheduled flights allocated by the concerned authorities for evacuating Omani citizens, in addition to scheduled cargo flights.
