RAFO rescues five citizens lost at sea off Barka

Barka: The Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) concluded a second day of a search and rescue operation by the happy airlifting of five Omani citizens reported lost at sea off Barka on Monday.
The RAFO’s Liaison, Search and Rescue Centre coordinated with the Maritime Security Centre and departments concerned at the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), the Royal Oman Police (ROP) and similar regional parties with a view to unifying search efforts. The citizens were found in sound health.
The mission came in the context of national efforts and humanitarian services rendered to citizens and residents by the Ministry of Defence, operating side by side with other government departments.
