Muscat: Known for its beautiful wildlife and biodiversity Al Ansab Wetlands attract more than 300 types of local and migratory birds.
Considered one of the natural destinations in Muscat, it also has a nursery that contains plants that can be found at different regions in the Sultanate.
To spread awareness about the benefits of the wastewater treatment project managed by Haya Water in general and the Wetlands in particular, a group visit for media personnel and social media activists was organised.
Hanan Yousef Al Balushi, Corporate Communication Manager of Haya Water said that this visit was intended to spread awareness on the benefits of the wastewater treatment project.
She added that the Company receives different types of visitors to the Wetlands, for instance, birdwatchers, researchers, school students and the public.
The Wetlands were formed from the excess of treated water and according to the international specification and standards applied in this regard. Al Ansab Wetlands are open for the public and those interested can plan a visit through the Company’s website or via calling the Company’s Call Centre on 80077111.
