Muscat: The Central Bank of Oman (CBO) has closed its customer service units at the head office, KOM premises, and at Sohar and Salalah branches until further notice. The public is encouraged to increasingly make use of CBO online services during this period.
The current move comes in line with the recent directives issued by the Supreme Committee for Dealing with Coronavirus (COVID-19), which not only mandates the closure of all customer service units across all public and private institutions in the country but also recommends usage of electronic and online services to the extent possible.
Accordingly, CBO calls upon all its customers to get in touch with the organization through the following online channels email: [email protected] and on the following phone numbers: 24777922/24777783/24777503, as a step to ensure public safety and continuity of its services.
In a statement released on its website cbo.gov.om earlier, CBO affirmed that this step is an endeavour to ensure the safety of its customers in view of the evolving COVID-19 scenario in line with the measures taken by the government in this regard.
